There are so many choices for drone products on the world – 3D Robotics(Solo), Parrot(Bebop 2 FPV, Disco FPV), Yuneec(Typhoon H Pro) and so on. Do not purchase DJI products! 大疆就是搭僵?

“Horrible customer service, no customer service actually.” – America should not allow this happening.

If I could provide 0 stars for DJI drone products, I would. We purchased a brand new drone which I gave to my husband on December 30th for his birthday. We opened the drone to use it in mid January. During the middle of flight, in beginner mode, on a clear, calm day – at 90 feet up, straight over our head, the drone had a “motor failure” and the item fell straight out of the sky into our next door neighbors yard. When it landed, it was smoking and the motor was not working. The remote stated “Contact DJI”. We shipped the item in to DJI, along with the flight log, they stated they couldn’t pull anything off of the drone, so we sent them the flight log from our phone. Then, after a week went by, they sent us an invoice to fix it through the dji care that we purchased, as they stated they “couldn’t determine the issue”. We explained we shouldn’t have to use the DJI Care, as this is obviously a manufacturing defect as it had less than 5 minutes of use out of the box. You can clearly see both on the flight log, there were no objects, nothing that it hit, no trees around, it just failed. We have several phone calls in to “the complaint department”. What company has a “complaint department”? THIS ONE. Don’t worry as they don’t return calls. So apparently after spending over 800 on a drone, and it falls out of the sky due to a manufacturers defect of motor failure within the first 5 minutes, you have to pay to get it fixed because they offer no sort of warranty or explanation on why the item failed. Horrible customer service, no customer service actually. Buy something else, because based on every other review I have read here, our problem is NOT uncommon. The other issue, most of the “customer service reps” are reading from a copy and paste script or sheet, and are NOT in the USA. Don’t count on any help, and you can’t ever reach the “North America Support” at the 818 number provided, they stated only the managers are in North America, and they “have to call you back”. Yea….
